This re-issue features 5 bonus tracks recorded live in 1993. An important piece of metal history that shows where the early darker aspects of metal were going in places besides Norway. The band is probably one of the most criminally under rated and ignored bands currently active in the extreme metal scene.Hell Symphony saw Root first grasping the weirdness that they would fully embrace on later albums. Coming out in a climate that was dominated by the second wave of black metal and being Satanic in theme, Root were lumped into the black metal genre but they have always been a bit more than just black metal. Interesting proto-black metal sound with lots of thrash elements.
