VA - Azaghal / Oath - Azaghal / Oath Split CD (Immortal Frost) Azaghal has been around since the '90's - already a Finnish Black Metal legend. On this split they offer us 3 long tracks (totaling almost 25 minutes), two of them in their purest ulra-fast and razor-sharp Black Metal tradition, with riffs so harmonius they sound almost melodic at times although extremely aggressive, an incisive bass line, fierce hoarse vocals and extremely complex drumming. Great tracks, great band! Oath are a new name on the Finnish Black Metal scene, but they have already released a full-length album on Immortal Frost and present us 2 tracks, also almost 25 minutes long, an atmospheric somewhat fast paced Black Metal with slight keyboard backgrounds, well executed and even catchy, proudly continuing the great Finnish Black Metal tradition, clowns-free. An excellent split especially for Finnish Black Metal followers.
