Aggravator - Populace Destructor CD (Ritual)  After a few years of slowly trickling out singles and an EP, this Texas outfit proved that they were serious with this album, a throwback thrash volley laced with ephemeral death metal window dressing and atonally charged in a manner redolent of Kreator more than anything. The pseudo-melodic riffage, heavy production and raw, exhausted-sounding vocals; it's all here. The mechanical confidence of the forceful rhythm constructions emits a violent backdrop over which the leads work their wicked magic.
